    Ylang Ylang (Cananga Odorata) Essential Oil
    Ylang ylang is a yellow, star-shaped flower that grows on the Cananga tree (Cananga odorata). This tropical species is native to countries surrounding the Indian Ocean, such as India, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and parts of Australia. Ylang ylang’s heady, aromatic scent is fruity, flowery, and rich. There are 5 varieties of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil available in the market: In the first 1-2 hours of distillation, the distillate obtained is called Extra, while grades I, II and III of Ylang Ylang Essential Oil are extracted in the following hours by specifically determined fractions of time. The fifth variety is referred to as Ylang Ylang Complete. This final distillation of Ylang Ylang is typically achieved after it has been distilled for 6-20 hours.

    Directions For Use

    Diffusion :

    • Ylang ylang contains several allergens, such as isoeugenol Trusted Source. It has been linked Trusted Source to contact dermatitis and can be irritating to skin when applied topically.
    • As with any essential oils, do not apply full-strength ylang ylang to skin. Should be mixed with a base oil and patch tested, before using on a large area of the body, face, or scalp.
      Ylang ylang is poisonous to dogs and cats. Do not apply ylang ylang to your pet’s skin, paws, or coat, and make sure not to use it where your pet might lick or inhale it.
    • Keep out of reach of children.
    • If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician.
    • Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
